First Friday - The Sustainability Centre - Upstairs at the Folly
3rd September 2010 - 12:00
First Friday likes to invite speakers who can inspire or educate. Mary Lewis, the Manager for the Sustaibility Centre can do both!
With its position in the heart of the South Downs National Park, The Sustainability Centre could not enjoy a more idyllic setting.
The Centre is spread across 55 acres of woodland and natural chalk downland. Indeed, the sheer beauty of our surroundings is an enduring reminder of the importance of its work and goals. It is owned by a charity, the Earthworks Trust, which was established in 1995.
The Sustainability Centre aims to educate, enable and inspire people from all walks of life to make positive changes to the way they live and work.
In pursuing this goal, they welcome families and schools; professionals and special interest groups; walkers and cyclists on the South Downs Way; children and young people.
So, if you have a professioanl or personal interst in the South DOwns, this is an event to attend.
