Welcome to 2012! Buster Ancient Farm - Upstairs at the Folly
3rd February 2012 - 12:00
The new year, a new start!
The days are getting longer, the nights shorter. The January fitness campaign and self imposed alcohol ban is now in the past.
Celebrate your new found freedom by attending First Friday in February 2012.
Fabulous food, wonderful wine and compelling chat with other business people represents a great way to spend 2 hours once a month.
The guest speakers this month are Simon and Maureen from Buster Ancient Farm.
Butser Ancient Farm was set up as an experimental archaeological research centre in 1972 to physically interpret archaeological ideas. Whilst still conducting research, it has expanded into an educational tourist site showing how people lived in Britain 2000 years ago and attracts thousands of visitors from all over the world every year.
Workshops for adults and special themed weekends take place throughout the summer and holiday activities and events to celebrate Celtic festivals take place throughout the year.
2012 is a very special year because Butser Ancient Farm is 40 years old. They also plan to develop the site this year with a striking, thought provoking, sustainable visitor centre.
A fascinating insight into a great resource on our doorstop.
The menu choices are STEAK AND ALE PIE or FETA AND ROASTED VEGETABLE STUFFED AUBERGINE
